A United States–based Nigerian data analyst, Olatoye Agboola, has been named a recipient of the 2025 Global Recognition Award for his outstanding achievements in data analytics, operational excellence, and leadership within the finance and technology industries.

In a statement released by the awards committee, Agboola was praised as “a rare combination of technical brilliance and leadership capacity” whose contributions have delivered measurable results and significant industry impact.

The Global Recognition Award honours professionals worldwide who have redefined industry standards and demonstrated innovation with tangible social or economic benefits.

Agboola, an IT specialist trained at New Jersey City University, has spent much of his career developing data-driven systems that link technical efficiency with strategic decision-making. According to the committee, his work has “transformed how organisations harness analytics to improve performance, transparency, and growth.”

Currently serving as a data analyst at Swappie, a leading European technology company, Agboola led the development of advanced SQL and Python-based data models that enhanced real-time access to operational data. These systems reportedly reduced decision-making delays and boosted operational efficiency by 14 per cent.

He also developed customer experience analytics dashboards that helped identify key drop-off points in user journeys. The insights from this project led to an 11 per cent rise in customer retention and contributed directly to company revenue growth.

Beyond telecommunications, Agboola’s expertise has impacted the finance sector, where he designed fraud detection models that reduced financial losses from fraudulent claims by 35 per cent. He also helped redesign warranty claims workflows, cutting resolution times by 40 per cent and improving customer satisfaction rates.

“Olatoye Agboola’s recognition with the 2025 Global Recognition Award highlights his exceptional ability to combine technical expertise with strategic vision and people-focused leadership,” the awards panel stated.

Responding to the announcement, Agboola said the recognition reflects his belief that data analytics is about improving human outcomes, not just technical efficiency.

“For me, the award is not just about the numbers or systems we build,” he said. “It’s about the people whose careers and businesses are transformed through analytics. That’s what gives my work meaning.”
