Tube Strikes: London Tube Delays on Five Major Lines
Commuters faced a challenging Monday morning, with delays affecting five major lines on the London Underground. Due to a signal failure at Whitechapel, severe delays hit the Circle, Hammersmith and City, and parts of the District lines. Meanwhile, vandalism on the Waterloo and City line caused minor delays on that key route.
The Metropolitan line also saw disruptions, with no trains running from Amersham until 7:10 am.
Though widespread strikes were expected to disrupt travel for much of the week, the RMT union recently called off its industrial action. However, Aslef workers continue with planned strikes, meaning minimal tube service is anticipated on Thursday and again next Tuesday, November 12, as staff protest for better wages and improved working conditions.
