President Bola Tinubu has praised governors who have embraced the Federal Government’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), initiative, noting its impact on promoting sustainable energy and reducing transportation costs.

In his New Year message, Tinubu highlighted the efforts of state leaders who launched CNG-powered public transportation systems as part of the administration’s national energy transition plan.

“The Federal Government will continue to provide necessary support to states that align with our energy goals,” Tinubu said.

He also lauded governors who integrated electric vehicles into their transport fleets, emphasizing the importance of innovative approaches to achieving a cleaner and more efficient energy mix.

“These initiatives underscore our shared commitment to creating a modern, sustainable, and resilient energy sector,” he added.

The President urged more states to collaborate with the central government to harness emerging opportunities in agriculture, livestock, and tax reforms, which he described as critical to driving national development.
