The Records Tems Set At The 2025 Grammys
Singer Tems made history at the 67th edition of the Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 2, 2025, after winning the Best African Music Performance category.
Her win meant she became the first indigenous Nigerian artist in history to win two Grammys.
The Best African Music Performance category was introduced at the 66th edition of the Grammys in 2024 and South African “Water” singer Tyla bagged the maiden edition.
Tems is also the second artist in history to win the Best African Music Performance category.
Her hit song “Love Me Jeje” won the award as she beat off competition from Chris Brown and other Nigerian acts Burna Boy, Asake, and Yemi Alade.
“Dear God, thank you so much for putting me on this stage and bringing me this team,” Tems said on the stage of the Grammys.
