Official: Trump’s Presidential Victory Certified By The Congress
Donald Trump’s victory at the November 5, 2024, US presidential election has been officially certified by Congress.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the presidential race to Trump, led proceedings at the Congress on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Despite her loss to Trump at the polls, Kamala Harris vowed to “perform my constitutional duty as Vice President to certify the results of the 2024 election.”
“This duty is a sacred obligation—one I will uphold guided by love of country, loyalty to our Constitution, and unwavering faith in the American people,” she said.

Reacting to the certification via his Truth Social network, President-Elect Trump said, “Congress certifies our great election victory today—a big moment in history.”
Senator JD Vance, who is the Vice President-Elect, attended the event as he is set to take over Kamala Harris’ position in Congress.
Donald Trump would be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States by January 20, 2024.
He is expected to take a radical shift on the immigration policies of the United States and border control.
Trump has already vowed to deal with countries like Mexico and Canada for allowing their borders to be porous and permitting the influx of illegal migrants into the US.
