One of Africa’s wealthiest individuals, Globacom chairman Mike Adenuga, made an uncommon public appearance on Saturday, October 26, for his daughter Sade’s wedding. Known as ‘The Bull’, the 71-year-old billionaire, with a net worth exceeding $6 billion, seldom poses for the cameras.
However, on October 26, he threw caution to the wind to celebrate his youngest daughter in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Adenuga was last seen in public on August 4, 2023, when he visited President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock. Before this, the business mogul joined Tinubu in paying a visit to the paramount ruler of Ijebuland Oba Sikiru Adetona in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State on June 29, 2023.
Adenuga’s daughter Sade got married to Adebola Ogunsanya son of the late Ademefun Ogunsanya and Mrs Idera Ogunsanya of Ikorodu kingdom.
The culture of the Ijebu people was on display at the wedding.
Former governor of Ogun State Olusegun Osoba and his wife Aderinsola Osoba chaired the occasion.
Among the dignitaries were Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu; governors Ademola Adeleke and Dapo Abiodun, senators Ibikunle Amosun and Tokunbo Abiru; Lt Gen. Alani Akinrinade, Maj. Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (retd), Tunde Folawiyo, Jimi Benson and Ayo Subair.
Others present were the former CEO of FirstBank, Adesola Adeduntan; Nana Otedola, Bode Emmanuel, Iranola Ayodeji and Layi Amoje.
The event was anchored by comedian Tee-A while King Sunny Ade (KSA), Davido, D’banj and Flavour entertained guests with music.
Dubbed the darling of the house, Sade graduated with a degree in law from the United Kingdom in 2015 and was gifted a Range Rover by her father. She is the group executive director of MA Group and founder of QuickLaw.
She has managed million-dollar international partnerships and multimillion-naira property portfolios.
