McGodwin Iweajunwa: Shaping Media and Technology from Milan to the World
Milan in Italy might be known for fashion and innovation, but it’s also home to McGodwin Iweajunwa, a Nigerian entrepreneur who has built strong links between Africa and Europe through media and technology. His name is MacGodwin Akajiaku Ndubuisi Iweajunwa, better known in professional circles as McGodwin Iweajunwa. As the CEO of Schengen Story Media, he has become a strong voice for Africans in the diaspora, telling stories that connect communities across the Schengen countries and the United Kingdom.
Born in Onicha Ezinihitte, Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, McGodwin’s story is one of persistence, creativity, and vision. From his early days studying Journalism at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, in 1992, he has maintained a deep passion for media and communication. This passion later took him to Franklin University in Switzerland, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2008. These academic foundations gave him the tools to blend traditional journalism with modern digital storytelling, a combination that defines his career today.
At the helm of Schengen Story Media, Iweajunwa leads a broadcast and publishing powerhouse that focuses on news, lifestyle, and diaspora affairs across Europe. Through platforms like Schengen Story Magazine and SSM News Network, his team brings authentic stories to light, stories that highlight migration, innovation, and the achievements of Africans abroad. The platform has become a trusted voice, not only for the African community but also for Europeans interested in understanding the growing influence of African creatives and professionals across the continent.
But Iweajunwa is much more than a media executive. He is also a technocrat and software designer, constantly working at the intersection of technology and communication. As a content curator at Hot BreeZe Studio, Milan, he designs digital solutions and manages software for project development. His ability to define project scope, set goals, and lead teams has earned him a reputation as a reliable and visionary leader. Whether it’s building a website, developing a mobile app, or managing large-scale media projects, Iweajunwa brings a balance of technical skill and creative insight.
Beyond his work in media and technology, Iweajunwa’s influence extends into entrepreneurship and leadership. He is the founder of MassiveMac Brand and Trendy Living Africa, two initiatives that promote African creativity, culture, and business innovation. His commitment to empowering others has also seen him take on the role of president of the Creative Industry Group Europe, an organisation that connects and supports African creatives across the continent.
In addition, he serves as the media and communications director for ADC-Diaspora Worldwide Network, where he helps shape strategies that connect African professionals globally. His experience in Journalism, software development, and leadership makes him uniquely equipped to manage communication across diverse cultures and industries.
