During a meeting with the Jukun-Kona Association in Abuja, today, the Catholic Archbishop Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama emphasized the importance of peace and unity among members.
Expressing his delight at the association’s growth, he encouraged members, particularly the affluent, to support one another.
Archbishop Kaigama urged the establishment of a youth wing within the association to foster youth involvement in community development. He called on young members to avoid social vices and realize their potential.
Rev. Fr. Peter Kamai, the association’s Spiritual Director, thanked the Archbishop for his leadership but noted a lack of member attendance at meetings.
He encouraged greater participation, emphasizing the value of mutual support.In an interview, association chairman Mr. James B. Awoshiri highlighted his inclusive leadership approach and announced a surprise initiative to honor Archbishop Kaigama while showcasing the branch’s achievements.
He called for unity and collaboration among members to strengthen their impact.Former Jalingo Local Government Chairman Ali Sani Kona praised the Archbishop’s pastoral efforts and encouraged youth to pursue entrepreneurship over traditional employment.
The meeting concluded with cultural performances and expressions of gratitude toward the Archbishop, reflecting the community’s appreciation for his guidance.
