Innovate, an initiative of Crosspoint Church, has announced the return of its annual Pitch and Grant program, offering a $2000 prize to the most promising Nigerian startup.
With Credit Direct as the headline sponsor, the program aims to empower young entrepreneurs by providing financial support to innovative business ventures.
Founder and Convener of Innovate, Ladi Soyombo, emphasized the program’s mission to fuel entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
“We believe in the transformative power of innovation to drive change, and this grant is designed to support businesses that can make a real impact,” he said.
Last year, OneGrid Energies, a startup that recycles plastic waste into affordable rechargeable lanterns, won the top prize.
The event attracted entrepreneurs from across the country, with six finalists presenting groundbreaking ideas.
Applications for the 2025 edition open on March 1 and close on March 23. Interested entrepreneurs can apply via www.cpinnovate.org.
A panel of industry experts will assess entries based on innovation, market potential, sustainability, and impact. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their ideas.
With top industry leaders as panelists and a focus on fostering a community of like-minded entrepreneurs, Innovate continues to champion innovation and youth empowerment in Nigeria.
