Jessica Anuna was born in Nigeria and raised in London. She holds a Journalism degree from City University of London. She also studied Chinese at Imperial College, London and King’s College, London before continuing her studies at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai.

Building Klasha

Klasha’s launch was a big step for African e-commerce, bringing African e-commerce solutions to meet the growing need for online shopping. With over 400 million internet users in Africa, e-commerce is set to hit $29 billion in the coming years and Klasha aims to connect global businesses with African consumers, making cross-border payments easier in local currencies.

Since its launching, Klasha has handled over 20,000 transactions, growing by 366% each month. It has also set up courier networks from the United Kingdom,  the United States, the Middle East to Africa, tackling infrastructure issues in the process. Klasha plans to work with all 41 African currencies, starting with the Nigerian naira, the Ghanaian cedi, and the Kenyan shilling.

Klasha wants to be the main way for African consumers to buy from global retailers. With funding from TechStars Dubai and Ginco Investments, Klasha is ready to boost African e-commerce.
