Billionaire Daughters DJ Cuppy And Temi Otedola Won Big In September 2024
Billionaire daughters Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, and Temi Otedola made history in the month of September and were undoubtedly the most celebrated Nigerian family for the month.
DJ Cuppy became the first Nigerian artist to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The singer opened the 2024 UNGA Summit Youth Action Day, themed “The Summit of the Future—Youth Actions Day,” hosted by the Secretary-General of the UN, António Guterres, from September 20-21, 2024.
“I am representing a country called Nigeria, in case you have heard of it. I am a DJ, philanthropist, and, more so, a moderator. But it feels like I am more your co-host because today is all about you. It is all about the youth, and I am honoured to take you on this journey today,” DJ Cuppy said.
“Someone once told me it is not about you; it is about your why we are here. We believe that youth need to be able to take action. We believe in leadership that brings everyone to the table. And that is why I am so proud to be here.
“My favourite SDG is 4 — an opportunity for everyone to get quality education. And at my foundation, we are so proud because we provide hardship funds for African students.
“So, throughout today, I would love for you to get involved in the conversation, especially with the youth. What are your favourite SDGs? What do you have to say? What do you believe in? Do not forget to get involved because everything here has been specially curated for the youth at UN Youth Affairs. Do not forget to have your say.”
A few days after DJ Cuppy’s achievement, her younger sister Temi Otedola, a model and actor, made her runway debut for global fashion brand L’Oréal at the Paris Fashion Week.

Temi, who was named the first Nigerian digital ambassador for the fashion outfit in June 2024, was filled with excitement after her grand runway debut.
“Still can’t believe I walked the @lorealparis Défilé Show. Walking alongside so many women who inspire me was a dream come true!!! As L’Oréal’s Digital African Ambassador, it’s an honour to show the beauty of being an African woman to the world,” Temi said.
Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, who is the father of both women, celebrated their achievements.
“Overwhelmed with pride as my daughter @cuppymusic makes history as the first Nigerian to host the UN General Assembly opening session,” he said of DJ Cuppy’s achievement. “A very proud Papa indeed! My angel @temiotedola stormed Paris Fashion Week in the L’Oréal Paris Show,” Femi Otedola said while celebrating Temi Otedola.
