Singer Asake has emerged at the top of the Spotify streaming chart for Nigeria in 2024.

Nigerian artists dominated the top 10 most-streamed list on Spotify Nigeria for the fourth consecutive year.

Recall that Asake released his third album, “Lungu Boy,” in 2024, and it recorded an outstanding 18 million streams in its first week on Spotify Nigeria.

Since Asake broke into the limelight in 2022, he has continued to thrill fans with hit songs and exceptional stage performances.

Seyi Vibes trails the “Yoga Yoga” singer in second place after releasing another project in 2024 and featuring on Vibe INC’s compilation album.

Grammy Awards-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy is in third place, while another Grammy winner, Wizkid, is in fourth place, ahead of Rema, who is placed fifth.

Surprisingly, Nigerian acts of global reputation Ayra Starr, Tems, and Tiwa Savage missed out on the male-dominated Spotify Nigeria 2024 streaming list.

The artists on the list are mostly acts whose sound resonates with Nigerians who play their songs repeatedly on the global streaming platform.
