By Segun Adeyanju
Eight-year-old Kamsiyochukwu Anusi has made history as Nigeria’s second-youngest author with the release of his book, Adventures Round the Shining Egg.
This milestone also places him as Africa’s third-youngest and the sixth-youngest author globally.
A Primary Four pupil at Mary Pearl Ville Academy, Port Harcourt, Kamsiyochukwu developed a passion for storytelling from reading books his parents provided.
Inspired to create his own stories, he began writing at home, using the dining table as his workspace.
His book blends reality, fantasy, and moral lessons, earning recognition from literary figures.
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Rivers State Branch, plans to nurture his talent, while the National Library of Nigeria has pledged support, including an official ISBN for his book.
Kamsiyochukwu’s father, Chukwuma Anusi, expressed pride in his son’s unexpected achievement, urging parents to encourage their children’s interests.
