Edem Ossai: Championing Gender-Responsive Education in Africa

Edem Dorothy Ossai, Africa Regional Network Coordinator at NORRAG, is a leading voice in education and gender advocacy with over 15 years of experience.

As the founder of MAYEIN, a Nigerian nonprofit, she promotes equity in education, entrepreneurship, and girls’ empowerment.

She pioneered Nigeria’s first gamified book-a-thon and established a mobile library serving over 1,000 users.

A Mandela Washington Fellow and Brookings Echidna Global Scholar, Ossai has consulted for the AU and led initiatives on gender-responsive education, shaping policies across Africa.
