Tyla Wins All Afrobeats Prizes At The 2024 Billboard Music Awards

South African singer Tyla won big at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards after clinching the two Afrobeats categories of the award.

The singer beat international Nigerian acts Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, and Asake to win the “Top Afrobeats Song” category and the “Top Afrobeats Artist” prizes at the ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA, on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Her hit song “Water” won the award for Top Afrobeats Song.

The Grammy-winning artist has dominated the African entertainment industry in 2024 by winning almost every Afrobeats award on the global stage.

Recall that in September, she beat globally acclaimed Nigerian acts Tems, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr to win the “Best Afrobeats Music Video” at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) with her hit song “Water.”

In February 2024, she won the Best African Music Performance category at the Grammy Awards with her debut single, “Water.”
