Superstar singer Burna Boy is one of the biggest singers on the globe at the moment and is most likely Nigeria’s biggest music export.

Burna Boy is a Grammy-winning artist and has sold out global arenas like the O2 Arena, London Stadium, and several other venues in countries such as the United States, Netherlands, and more.

He is classified by the media and fans as one of Nigeria’s “Big Three” in the entertainment industry, alongside Davido and Wizkid.

Burna Boy describes himself as the “African Giant” and backed it up with an album that sold copies worldwide.

However, there are debates surrounding who earns the most in the Nigerian entertainment industry, and as expected, fans always take sides with their favorites, but high-profile showbiz promoter Paulo Okoye has crowned Burna Boy the highest-earning singer in the country.

In a chat with media personality Daddy Freeze, Paulo said that the “Bank On It” crooner earned about $80 million in 2023.

“The only person that is making money in Nigeria is Burna Boy. He made at least $80 to $100 million four years ago. Burna Boy is the richest,” Paulo said.

“The good thing about him is that he has a very small unit of people. His mother, sister, and others in his team are not up to eight. Every other person is either a contractor or consultant.”

Paulo’s remark is expected to settle the debate about who earns more among Nigerian entertainers, but it has caused controversy as netizens have chosen to side with their favorites as usual.

Burna Boy’s reputation on the global scene is unquestionable, as he remains the only solo artist of this present Nigerian generation of singers to have won a Grammy.
